What’s up FOTO, I’m gonna keep this short and sweet. My name is Tyler Motichka and I was a part of FOTO during my last two years of college from 2021-2023. I was fortunate enough to be able to experience two THONs as a member of FOTO along with all the other various activities, fundraisers, and hangouts that come with the territory.
As a kid coming from a branch campus right after Covid, I came to Penn State as a junior not knowing anyone at all and hoping to get involved while meeting some people. From the first weekly meeting, I knew FOTO was going to be a place for that. I can honestly say some of my fondest college memories came out of my time in FOTO.
FOTO gave me a chance to be a part of something so much bigger than just myself. The organization that you are a part of and I am proud to call myself an alumni of does so much in support of our wonderful THON families and THON as a whole. Everyone works their tail off every year to ensure that success. However, learn to enjoy the process, get involved, and have some fun along the way. It will go by in an instant trust me. As a graduate student sitting in my office typing this, the last few years have flown by. Please continue the hard work and dedication as you are all impacting lives in ways you can’t even imagine.
